The life cycle of equipment encompasses all stages from acquisition to final disposal. The end-of-life phase represents the final stage, characterised by performance degradation, technological obsolescence, or economic infeasibility of continued maintenance. At this point, equipment no longer meets safety, efficiency, or cost requirements, making replacement or disposal necessary.
Responsible management of equipment at the end of its life is essential to ensuring sustainability, operational efficiency, and compliance with environmental and safety standards.
