Oil Water Separator

ECODEPUR® DEPUROIL® EE

Oil Water Separator with integrated pumping chamber

ECODEPUR® DEPUROIL® EE Oil Water Separator are designed for the separation of hydrocarbons, featuring an integrated pumping chamber for lifting the treated effluent.

The pump or pumps are pre-installed in the pumping chamber and controlled by a set of four level floats or, in the case of a single-pump configuration, by a single start/stop float.

The equipment is CE marked and designed in full compliance with European Standard EN 858. It is classified as Class I and is equipped with a double coalescing filter and an automatic safety shut-off valve.

Under the test conditions defined by the aforementioned standard, the system achieves a final effluent hydrocarbon concentration of less than 5 mg/L.

The unit is manufactured from polyethylene, a material with high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to corrosion, and is duly tested by an independent accredited organisation in accordance with the requirements of EN 858-1:2002.

  • CE marking EN 858-1 (Class 1);
  • High treatment levels (double filtration system);
  • The possibility of pumping the treated effluent allows raising the drainage network level, subsequently reducing the depth and volume of excavation;
  • Automatic closure device (massive anti-miscalibration system);
  • Built-in sample collection device;
  • Protective cover for internal components in PE;
  • Possibility of incorporating a by-pass and an acoustic and luminous alarm probe directly into the structure of the equipment;
  • High mechanical resistance and corrosion protection;
  • Light and easy to install and maintain;
  • Underground installation;
  • Easy to install and maintain;
  • Total watertightness.
Oil Water Separator admits non-chemically emulsified oily water containing hydrocarbons with densities between 0.85 and 0.95. The heavier materials (sludge, sand, etc.) sediment in the pre-sludge trap zone and are retained there. This compartment also retains hydrocarbons that are in easily floatable forms. Only water and substances lighter than water, namely the hydrocarbons to be separated, pass into the separation zone.
The separators are equipped with a coalescing filter, which allows the smaller oil particles to aggregate into larger particles. Aggregation of the particles increases the upward force sufficient to release them from the main flow lines towards the surface. In this chamber, the hydrocarbons accumulate on the surface, while the treated water exits through the bottom of the equipment.
The Oil Water Separator is equipped with an automatic closure device (massive anti-miscalibration system), which prevents hydrocarbons from escaping once the equipment's maximum holding capacity has been reached, thus preventing contamination of the receiving environment. The operation of the Oil Water Separator does not require energy consumption and is based on the gravitational separation of materials with a different density to water, assisted by the presence of an oleophilic coalescing cell.
