The Biological Septic Tank, ECODEPUR® BIOFIX is a compact wastewater treatment system that combines primary settling, sludge anaerobic digestion and aerobic biological filtration, for the reception and advanced treatment of domestic wastewater or wastewater of similar characteristics.

The equipment is designed and manufactured in accordance with European Standard EN 12566-1 and is CE marked, in compliance with the legal requirements arising from Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council on construction products.

Particularly suitable for single-family homes, the Biological Septic Tank, ECODEPUR® BIOFIX delivers excellent treatment performance, achieving high removal efficiencies for BOD₅ (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) and Total Suspended Solids (TSS).

How the ECODEPUR biological cesspit works^® BIOFIX is based on three different processes:

Settling: the sludge settles, separating the solid phase from the liquid phase;
Anaerobic digestion: the sludge undergoes anaerobic digestion and the organic matter is mineralised;
Aerobic biological filtration: biological removal of soluble organic matter through the biomass developed in the filling medium.
