Process water

Industrial Sustainability Strategy

Reusing process water is an increasingly important practice in the sustainable management of water resources, especially in industries and production systems that consume large volumes of water. It consists of treating and reusing water that has already been used in industrial or agricultural processes, for the same purpose or for less demanding uses.

Using innovative solutions with the best operating/investment cost ratio, with filtration, disinfection/oxidation and decontamination processes, it is possible to give wastewater a second life, which can then be reused in various ways, from meeting industrial needs to supplying drinking water.

  • Sizing on a case-by-case basis;

  • Reliable and lasting compliance with legal requirements;

  • Ease and speed of installation (pre-assembled components and ISO 9001 factory conditions);

  • Easy to upgrade if production capacity increases - modular solutions.

ECODEPUR® designs integrated treatment systems on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the particularities of each installation, in particular the flow rate and parametric requirements for reuse.

However, the treatment scheme basically consists of the following unit operations:

  • Storage of treated water from the WWTP;

  • Preliminary treatment, with filtration/coagulation/flotation to eliminate TSS (Total Suspended Solids) and some TDS (Total Dissolved Solids);

  • Physical/chemical or chemical process to eliminate organic load and nutrients, precipitation/oxidation of metals and salts, as well as elimination of biological agents;

  • Accumulation of treated water and maintenance of the required parameters
