ECODEPUR® BIOX PRO The reuse of treated wastewater, as a strategy to combat the growing scarcity of water, is one of the main challenges facing mankind in the coming years.

Grey Water Reuse and Recycling Systems ECODEPUR^® BIOX PRO are solutions intended for the reception and treatment of grey water (bathtubs, showers and washbasins), adapting the quality of the treated water for secondary uses (toilet flushes, irrigation, firefighting reserves, among others).

Although water that comes from kitchens and washing machines is considered grey water, it isn’t usually recycled due to its high contamination.

Legal and Regulatory Framework

The different SPRAC ECODEPUR®BIOX PRO systems and options are based on the technical specifications of ANQIP (Portuguese Association for the Quality of Building Installations), namely ANQIP Technical Specification ETA 0905, which establishes technical criteria for the implementation of greywater reuse and recycling systems (SPRAC), European Standard EN 16941-2 (Systems for the use of treated greywater).

Quality requirements for treated water

The treated water can be reused for toilet flushing, irrigation of private gardens, various washing applications, vehicle washing, and fire-fighting reserves.

Although the Ammoniacal Nitrogen parameter is an optional compliance parameter, the SPRAC ECODEPUR systems^® BIOX PRO are designed and sized for TOTAL NITRIFICATION to prevent unpleasant odours caused by the release of ammonia from the accumulation tanks.
