Sludge treatment

ECODEPUR® SLUDGE DRY

Sludge Filtration/ Dewatering and Bagging Systems

Sludge Filtration/Dewatering and Bagging Systems ECODEPUR® SLUDGE DRY are a technology used in wastewater treatment to separate the solid phase of treated water and significantly reduce its volume and moisture content.

The Systems combine all the essential components in a compact system, offering exceptional performance and ease of installation for a variety of sludge dewatering applications.

The systems presented can range from small manual units to fully automatic, pressurised units. If it is necessary to increase the sludge dewatering capacity of a system, it is possible to add an additional bag module, connected to the existing one, using the existing automation, saving additional costs.

The dewatering of sludge makes it possible to achieve significant savings in handling and transport, due to the reduction in the weight and volume of the sludge.

  • Bag module for effective sludge dewatering;
  • Polymer preparation unit and polymer dosing pump for optimised sludge conditioning;
  • Sludge feed pump and in-line mixer for precise operation;
  • Level sensor for monitoring;
  • Control panel for perfect plug-and-play functionality.

DEHYDRATION

After a few hours of operation, with the appropriate conditioning of the sludge using polyelectrolytes, it is possible to achieve dry solids contents (DS) of 15 to 30%, depending on the type of sludge. The volume of dewatered sludge varies according to the solids content of the raw feed sludge.

DRYING

After the initial dehydration stage, the sacks are sealed, removed with a special sack trolley and stored in the open. During this secondary phase, the weight and volume of the sludge continues to decrease, regardless of the weather conditions.

The main characteristics of the drying process include:

- Waterproof material: The bags are made of a special material that prevents rainwater from entering, allowing them to dehydrate through evaporation.

- High Dry Solids Content: After two months, the sludge reaches a minimum dry solids content of 50%.

- With prolonged storage, the content increases to 70-95% dry solids.
